An Introduction to Park Golf

Park Golf is a unique blend of "park" and "golf," offering a fun and accessible way to enjoy the game in urban settings. Park Golf has gained popularity worldwide, providing a recreational activity suitable for all ages and skill levels.

This simplified version of golf is designed to promote exercise, social interaction, and overall well-being. With its shorter distances and narrower fairways, Park Golf courses can be set up in small spaces, making it a convenient and enjoyable sport for ALL GENERATIONS.

Park Golf is fun and similar to traditional golf but the courses are often set in park-like environments and they can be quite accessible, making park golf a popular choice for casual players and families especially Seniors. This game emphasizes enjoyment and simplicity over the technical aspects of traditional golf.

How Park Golf Works

Park Golf follows the core principles of traditional golf but is designed to beΒ easy and accessible. Courses typically feature:

  • Par 3 holes (50 yards or less)
  • Par 4 holes (100 yards or less)
  • Par 5 holes (less than 150 yards)
  • A standard course consists of either 9 holes (Par 33) or 18 holes (Par 66)

Park Golf Course

The courses are much shorter than those in traditionalΒ golf. Typically Park golf courses are generallyΒ on a flat, open area like a park, making it easier for beginnersΒ and casual players. For 9 hole, Par 33, coursesΒ may be built with 3-9 acres and 18 Hole ( Park 66 ) courses and be built with 5-10Β acres of land.

Park Golf Rules

The rules of Park Golf are similar to traditional golf, incorporating familiar terms such as par, bogey, and eagle. However, since there is no universally standardized rulebook, each country and course may have slight variations tailored to local preferences.

  1. Objective: The goal is to complete the course in the fewest number of strokes. The course generally consists of 9 or 18 holes,
  2. Teeing Off: Players start each hole from the tee area. The ball must be placed within the designated teeing ground, which is typically a small area marked at the start of each hole.
  3. Play: The ball must be hit from where it lies. Players are not allowed to move the ball or obstacles around it, except under specific conditions such as relief from immovable objects.
  4. Scoring: Each stroke counts as one point, They players with the fewest total strokes at the end of round wins,
  5. OB(Out of Bounds): If the ball goes out of bounds or into an area designated as out of play, the player usually has to take a penalty stroke and reply the shot from the original spot.
  6. Obstacles: Courses may have various obstacles such as trees, bushes, or water hazards. The specific rules for dealing with these obstacles can vary by course, but players typically must play the ball as it lies or take a penalty stroke if necessary.
  7. Specific Rules : Different park golf courses might have their own set of specific rules and regulations. It is important for players to familiarize themselves with any local rules before starting their round.
